Welcome to the New Zealand web site for the Worldwide Centenary of Scouting in 2007. I hope that you all enjoy the celebrations and events planned for 2007.

We are also fortunate to have the Centenary of New Zealand Scouting in 2008 - a time for all New Zealanders to reflect on their own personal connection with Scouting, whether that is revisiting fond memories, contacting old scouting friends or rejoining the Scouting movement as a leader, supporter and friend.

People always ask how we are going to keep Scouting going over the next 100 years.
My response is simple.

Scouting will always have competition; and for people, especially young people, who want to build confidence, become independent and have fun with friends, Scouting will always be enjoyable.
